Responsibilities
- Accountable for the governance operating cycle and its timelines, including scope of works, change requests, renewal schedules, project change control, and contingency planning.
- Executes the cadence and operating mechanisms that teams follow, consistently applying across the account.
- Embeds a culture of continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across all sites through frameworks and processes.
- Leads execution of new site program implementations, managing multiple workstreams such as governance reporting and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with proper resource management.
- Assists in preparation and supports the broader team with monthly or quarterly meetings with the customer and the global OneSource team, reviewing schedule, scope, change management, financials, and KPIs.
- Manages action items resulting from business reviews and operational forums.
- Escalates performance issues and program help requests to OneSource senior leadership or the customer, as appropriate.
- Establishes and leads regularly scheduled program management meetings with internal back‑office functions at PerkinElmer to manage the program.
- Cultivates a program culture built on honesty, hard work, commitment to the customer, and business growth through execution.
- Identifies and coordinates activities for process improvements and renewal of current business.
- Ensures consistency of company processes and best practices across all global sites where applicable.
- Develops or tailors processes that align with the customer’s requirements for all aspects of the OS program, including invoicing, change control, opportunities to expand scope, delivery of entitlements, managing service providers, and integrating with the customer’s internal communication processes.

Qualifications & Experience
- More than 3 years experience as a Program Manager or Project Manager.
- Experience working across global teams in a matrix environment.
- Experience working within operational roles in a Laboratory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
- High level work ethic and organizational skills.
- Experience using problem‑solving frameworks or change‑management methodologies to drive complex issues to completion.
- Leadership experience with well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills; effective team management capability and a positive, team‑oriented approach.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (especially Excel), PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project; proficiency with Power BI and Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools for productivity gains.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Other database and application skills (SAP, SQL) and business‑process mapping tools desirable; Maximo experience preferred.
Work Environment & Travel
Based remotely in the UK with domestic and international travel as required, likely 25–30%. Day‑to‑day regional travel to the customer site in the local area (Cambridge or Macclesfield in the UK).
Must be able to work in a laboratory and in controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses). May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.
