Job Description:

Salary: £40,000 – 45,000 per year

Requirements

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure, 2nd Line or 3rd Line support, with a strong interest in solving technical challenges across a broad technology estate
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies
  • Experience with VMware vSphere and virtualisation
  • Experience with SQL Server environments
  • Experience with LAN, WAN and firewall technologies
  • Experience with Linux, ideally Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of cyber security best practice
  • Experience creating technical documentation and sharing knowledge
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Experience in manufacturing environments would be advantageous
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, SAN storage, SSL certificate management or emerging AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 2nd and 3rd line support across core infrastructure technologies
  • Support Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Maintain VMware, on-premise infrastructure and virtualised platforms
  • Assist with networking, firewall and security technologies
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects from planning through to implementation
  • Create clear technical documentation and share knowledge across the wider IT team
  • Help maintain secure, resilient and highly available IT services across the business
