Junior Software Developer with C# C++ Java or Delphi

About the Client

Our client is a boutique software consultancy providing analytical tools and processing software to the retail banking industry.

Role Overview

The client is embarking on new developments to take its products onto new platforms and into new customer bases. The role requires coding in Delphi and other object‑oriented languages such as C++, Java, or Visual Studio. It offers an interesting and varied hands‑on experience, involving the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytical software in Delphi and other languages.




• Collaborate across the project lifecycle, from design to deployment.




• Apply Object‑Oriented techniques and work with SQL, XML, XSL, and data modelling.




• Support n‑tier / client‑server architectures and integration with SQL Server.




• Contribute to the transition to new platforms including RAD Studio, Visual Studio, C#, C++, Hadoop, and SaaS.

Qualifications

• Strong computing background and experience in Delphi. Experience in C++, Java, or other object‑oriented languages.




• Knowledge of SQL Server, n‑tier or client‑server systems.




• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Source Safe (VSS), XML/XSL, and mathematical or statistical concepts.




• Excellent communication skills and a desire to develop technical abilities.

Salary

Salary depends on experience, within the range £22,000–£30,000.
