Requirements

• Strong experience configuring Dynatrace alerts, workflows, extensions, and DQL queries.
• Strong understanding and experience implementing and using APM tooling, including Dynatrace.
• Experience delivering Dynatrace configuration using automation such as Terraform or Monaco.
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools, including Dynatrace.
• Strong understanding and experience in SRE principles and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of observability within a complex tech stack.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems and document solutions effectively.
• Understanding of log and synthetic monitoring principles.
• Ability to work closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and support change adoption.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Dynatrace Associate Certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• We will design, implement, and support monitoring solutions across a range of technologies and platforms.
• We will translate high-level monitoring and non-functional requirements into actionable configurations in Dynatrace.
• We will deliver full-stack observability solutions, including application‑aware network performance monitoring, synthetics, log analytics, and infrastructure metrics.
• We will collaborate with architects and project teams to integrate monitoring into solution designs and test strategies.
• We will maintain and enhance dashboards, alerts, and visualisations to support proactive service management.
• We will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and tooling exploitation to improve operational efficiency within immature teams.

We are recruiting an Observability Engineer for a 6-month assignment in Telford, with a minimum of 2 days per month on site. This role is inside IR35 and requires SC eligibility. We are offering a rate of £598. As part of our team, you will support service stability and performance insight through Dynatrace and broader observability tooling, working closely with architects, project teams, and stakeholders.
