Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS
• Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to Kubernetes / container platforms
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments preferred
• Strong hands‑on engineer mindset, not purely strategic or architecture-focused
• Comfortable working across infrastructure, pipelines, and environments
• Able to operate with a degree of autonomy in delivery teams
• Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable in fast‑paced environments
• Exposure to financial services or similar environments is preferred
• Experience with high-availability or performance-driven platforms is preferred

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure
• Develop and manage our Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Build and optimise our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Support our containerised environments, including Docker and Kubernetes / EKS
• Ensure platform stability, monitoring, and performance
• Support deployments, release cycles, and environment setup
• Work closely with our engineering teams to enable delivery and best practice

We are supporting a global financial services client, a hedge fund, on the hire of a mid-level AWS DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a high-performing technology environment in London. This is a 12-month initial contract, inside IR35, with a rate of £550 and an ASAP start. The role requires being onsite four days per week, and it is a hands‑on engineering position focused on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability.
