The Ferrovial BAM Joint Venture has a successful history of delivering critical infrastructure for the UK on time and to budget through joint‑venture partnership. Key projects include Crossrail, the Silvertown Tunnel and HS2, where the Joint Venture has delivered excellence across all stages.
We are recruiting a Configuration Manager to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at its initial design phase. The role is based in London (Euston) or Birmingham (Snow Hill) and reports to the project office.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain configuration items, baselines and alignment between design documentation, BIM models and physical assets.
- Implement and manage formal change control processes, assessing impacts on cost, schedule, safety and performance.
- Maintain configuration records, registers and revision histories, tracking design status versus constructed works.
- Ensure constructed works match approved designs and specifications, supporting audits, inspections and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to manage system interfaces and maintain consistency across work packages.
- Integrate configuration management with BIM and digital engineering processes, supporting the development of the Asset Information Model for handover.
- Develop and maintain configuration management procedures aligned with HS2 requirements, supporting project governance and assurance frameworks.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical or related engineering.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles (e.g., ISO 10007).
- Experience on large infrastructure or rail projects.
- Knowledge of BIM and digital engineering practices (e.g., ISO 19650).
- Experience with change control processes and systems integration.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
