About the role
The role is centred on creating safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive spaces where women affected by domestic abuse, gender-based violence, trauma, displacement, isolation, or poor mental wellbeing can connect with others, strengthen their wellbeing, rebuild confidence, and access holistic support.
Using trauma-informed and survivor-led approaches, the postholder will facilitate meaningful group conversations and wellbeing activities that strengthen connection, encourage peer support, and advance their recovery journeys. Through creative engagement and accessible facilitation methods, they will help women feel heard, valued, respected, empowered, and part of a supportive community.
The postholder will also strengthen engagement between women, safer accommodation providers, and wider support services through outreach, relationship‑building, partnership working, signposting, and advocacy.
In addition, they will contribute to monitoring, feedback collection, and engagement activities linked to the wider DASA programme and SafeRoots partnership objectives.
We welcome applications from women with lived experience of domestic abuse and safer accommodation.
