Secondary school in Harrow seeking a Careers & Employability Lead to join from September 2026. Full‑time, term‑time only (plus INSET days). Competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the school’s CEIAG programme.
• Deliver impartial one‑to‑one careers guidance, group sessions, workshops and assemblies.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, colleges, universities, apprenticeship providers and external organisations.
• Organise careers fairs, employer encounters, workplace visits and work‑experience opportunities.
• Support students with CV writing, interview preparation, UCAS applications, personal statements and apprenticeship applications.
• Promote further education, higher education, apprenticeships and employment pathways.
• Track student destinations and maintain accurate careers records.
• Ensure the school’s careers provision meets the Gatsby Benchmarks, Baker Clause and statutory guidance.
• Work collaboratively with senior leaders and teaching staff to embed careers education across the curriculum.

Essential Requirements

• Level 4 Careers Guidance qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
• Experience working within a secondary school, college or careers guidance setting.
• Experience delivering careers education and employability programmes.
• Strong knowledge of post‑16 and post‑18 pathways, apprenticeships and higher education.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire young people.
• Strong IT and administrative skills.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.

Desirable

• Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development.
• Experience using careers platforms such as Unifrog, Compass+· or Grofar.
• Knowledge of destination tracking and labour market information.
