Responsibilities
- Lead defined privacy engagements or workstreams and support engagement planning and delivery
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard in line with BDO methodology
- Build trusted client relationships and contribute to the effective delivery of engagements
- Support the development and career progression of junior team members
- Manage portfolio activities, including business development, engagement planning, portfolio oversight and project management
- Allocate approximately 40% of time to management activities and 60% to leading privacy engagements, with flexibility based on experience and development
- Travel to client sites as required and exercise strong organisational skills
- Apply experience in AI compliance where relevant
- Evaluate evidence, interpret data, and articulate well‑reasoned conclusions and client‑centred recommendations
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving and proactive mindset, challenging constructively and contributing ideas that enhance work outcomes
Qualifications
- Extensive working knowledge of the UK and EU Data Protection Regulatory landscape
- Experience leading the delivery of multiple client engagements, ranging from short‑term compliance reviews to longer‑term implementation programmes
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an inquisitive and proactive mindset
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/M, AIGP or equivalent)
