VolkerFitzpatrick is building the Didcot Science Bridge section of the Didcot and surrounding areas major infrastructure. Our engineering apprentices will be an integral part of the site operations team, responsible for the effective and efficient running of the site throughout the delivery of the project.

What You’ll Do

  • Understand and comply with Company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Sustainability Systems and Policies.
  • Provide assistance to the Site Engineers in the accurate setting out and control of the works, taking every opportunity to undertake setting out under the supervision of their Section / Senior Engineer.
  • Gain experience of Company HSEQ systems and participate in tasks that are described.
  • Gain experience in materials sampling and testing.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by your line manager for the benefit of the site.
  • Undertake instrument checks on setting out equipment and maintain records of such checks.
  • Read and understand method statements.
  • Maintain records of labour, plant and materials used in the works.
  • Carry out material sampling.
  • Maintain as-built record drawings of the completed works.

Qualifications

Essential – GCSE – Maths & Science – 8/4

Course Information: Civil Engineering Senior Technician (Level 4)

Level: 4; Route: Construction and the built environment; Apprenticeship Level: Higher

Working Arrangements

Working Week: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Expected Duration: 3 Years.

Training Provider: T3 TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT LTD.
