Project Engineer – Body Electronics

You’ll be part of a team at the heart of electrical architecture and systems design, working on technology that defines the customer experience in a world‑renowned automotive brand. In this role, you won’t just be contributing, you’ll be leading.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of cutting‑edge Body Electronics systems from concept through to launch, ensuring they meet the highest standards across quality, cost, timing and functionality.
- Define requirements, create specifications and resolve real‑world issues during builds and beyond.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and suppliers, driving complex challenges and keeping programmes on track.
- Navigate the full product development lifecycle, managing software integration, feature readiness, component release and supplier performance.
- Make informed decisions, drive recovery plans when needed, and ensure every milestone is met without compromising on excellence.
- Play a key role in validation, building and managing test plans, ensuring robust evidence of compliance and leading components through to final engineering sign‑off.
- May be involved in prototype vehicle testing, which may require a Level3 driving permit.
- May travel internationally, including across Europe and the US, to work closely with suppliers and support vehicle testing activities.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Body Electronics or similar automotive systems, with experience delivering both hardware and software in a fast‑paced, quality‑driven environment.
- Comfortable leading cross‑functional teams, engaging suppliers, and using data and analysis to guide engineering decisions.
- Experience across the full development cycle and a drive to challenge the status quo to improve how things are done.
- Collaborative, detail‑focused, and clear in communication, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to hold yourself accountable and continuously raise the bar.
