Role Overview
Position: Insight Analyst – Rapid Insight function, part of Sky Data’s Strategy, Transformation and Platform team.
The Rapid Insight function supports Sky’s Trading and Commercial teams by delivering analysis that informs decision-making. The role covers the Senior Insight Analyst position while the incumbent on maternity leave is away.
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct robust analysis to answer stakeholders’ strategic questions.
- Identify best data sources relevant to the analysis.
- Liaise with data engineering teams to understand data source creation and raise questions about inconsistencies.
- Select the most appropriate and scientific approach to tackle each question.
- Extract and transform data using BigQuery (SQL).
- Conduct analysis from start to finish using Python, Excel, or other tools as appropriate.
- Present findings clearly and concisely, and support stakeholders with recommendations.

- Experience delivering key insights that support business and commercial decisions.
- Clear communication skills.
- Curiosity about data and how it can be best used.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure result validity.
- Ability to stay calm under urgent requests and repriorise scheduled work.
Essential Criteria
- Strong analytical experience required.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred).
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Tableau beneficial to understand stakeholder reports, though you will not build Tableau dashboards.

Working Arrangement
Hybrid model: work from home with 2 days in the office per week (usually Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Osterley campus – our Sky Group HQ. The campus is a 10‑minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Free shuttle buses and free onsite parking are available.
