Safety & Risk Management Advisor

Are you ready to bring your integrity, professionalism and diligence to a key role within GAP Group’s Safety & Risk department?

At GAP Hire Solutions, we are looking for a Safety & Risk Management Advisor experienced in safety/labour investigations and related report writing. The postholder will support the SHE Manager in reporting, administration and analysis of all safety (liability) related incidents, including coordinating immediate response, evidence gathering, root cause analysis and oversight of corrective actions. Based in our Glasgow Head Office, the post holder will travel to depots throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations and produce timely and effective reports.
• Identify root causes and contributory factors and recommend actions for sustainable risk reduction.
• Support continuous improvement of safe working environments.
• Keep key holders informed of investigation progress.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in safety investigations and/or liability claims handling.
• Recognised safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ/SVQ).
• Excellent knowledge of accident investigation methods and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel away from home regularly.
