Location – North West London
Responsibilities
- To support managers and staff to promote Health at work.
- Work autonomously as a specialist practitioner to manage own caseload and be accountable for own actions. Able to use own initiative and act independently, to take action when required at own discretion.
- Will be required to make referrals to other specialists when required in accordance with agreed assessment protocols.
- Work within NMC directives at all times ie. Code of Professional Conduct, Record Keeping, Scope of Professional Practice, and administration of Medicines.
- To support the Duty Nurse and provide expert advice in the management of complex enquiries.
- Maintain secure and confidential Occupational Health record system in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
- Be aware of current developments and research within the OH field and to participate in educational programmes for own professional development where agreed with the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Experience
- 6 months experience of working at relevant level within the UK
- Able to work within a diverse community of patients and health care professionals.
- Effective communication skills written, verbal and non-verbal with the ability to adapt communication for individuals with communication difficulties
- Able to make clinically reasoned judgements when working with a variety of conditions.
- Able to work autonomously, and ability to know when to seek appropriate advice / guidance from senior staff.
- Effective time management and caseload management.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Management of long-term conditions and palliative care
Pay Rates
£32 -£45Ph/ Negotiable
