Veterinary Surgeon – SA and/or Equine

The Role

This position is ideal for a vet (or vet couple) with a particular interest in small animal care, equine care, or a mixture of both. The role can be tailored depending on experience, skills and interests.

Responsibilities

• Full-time position, part-time considered for the right candidate.
• Rota – 4 days per week 8AM–6.30PM, 1 weekend (Saturday or full weekend) determined by rota worked in 3.
• On call once a week with occasional additional cover for sickness or short-notice absences.

Salary & On-call Retainer

Salary dependent on experience.

On-call retainer (paid in arrears):

• Small animal and equine on call Mon-Fri = £300
• Weekend and Bank holiday = £400
• Equine on call only Mon-Fri = £150
• Equine on call only for weekends and bank holiday = £200

The practice is comprised of 9 vets, including several certificate holders, supported by 9 RVNS, 4 students and 5 VCAs, plus reception and admin staff. We serve a discerning clientele and are equipped with full facilities for medical and surgical care.
