Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the implementation and execution of CRO strategies and the day‑to‑day communication with clients to help achieve their goals. As a Senior Optimisation Manager, you will manage a team of CRO & UX specialists that offer end‑to‑end Optimisation & UX delivery across clients. You will be the senior escalation point for your team and clients, while receiving support from the senior leadership team and peers in similar roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of CRO & UX Specialists, including Strategists, Designers, Data Analysts, Researchers and Developers.
  • Resource management, prioritisation and direct management of the team.
  • Oversee a portfolio of client accounts, providing guidance to the teams leading each account and ensuring value for the client investment.
  • Review your team’s client strategies, ensuring alignment with long‑term client objectives such as A/B testing, page/journey redesigns, optimisation of the acquisition journey and site speed optimisation.
  • Be accountable for your clients, determining potential threats and finding solutions to keep clients happy and investing in our services.
  • Lead annual, quarterly and monthly reviews for clients, communicating the success of our optimisation programmes with senior client stakeholders.
  • Instil a culture of evidence‑based approach to website optimisation throughout the team, using quantitative and qualitative methods to understand our clients’ products and customers.
  • Direct resource planning for your team, working with the Strategists to set deadlines and prioritise activity.
  • Build relationships with our wider agency teams—such as PPC, SEO, Social, Affiliates, Analytics—using these relationships to find ways to collaborate.
  • Find areas for revenue growth, increasing client investment, identifying cross‑sell opportunities or working with the sales team to bring in new clients.
  • Organise and deliver training sessions for all team members.
  • Analyse our proposition and work with your team to advance our services, innovating and harnessing the skills of the team to remain at the forefront of CRO in the market.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Direct management experience, including creating and following personal development plans.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CRO and UX, covering A/B testing, personalisation and UX projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to lead difficult client calls/meetings on short notice and steer them to actionable conclusions.
  • Ability to mentor and coach your team on all things CRO, instilling a desire for continual learning and development.
  • Background in CRO and A/B testing, User Research, UX Design, Ecommerce trading, Digital Marketing or Data analysis preferred.
