Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Multi Skilled Engineer role based in Gloucester. The Multi Skilled Engineer will install, maintain, and repair security systems and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with company standards. Day‑to‑day tasks include diagnosing faults, performing preventive maintenance, completing service reports, and responding to call‑outs in a timely, professional manner. The role involves working closely with clients on‑site, explaining technical issues in clear terms, and coordinating with colleagues to plan and deliver installations and upgrades. The engineer is expected to follow health and safety procedures, maintain tools and company vehicles, and support continuous improvement in service quality.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated technical skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing security or electronic systems, including basic electrical and mechanical competencies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and system documentation, and to use diagnostic tools and test equipment effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks on‑site.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in engineering, electrical, or security systems; a related technical qualification is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for on‑site work and call‑outs.
