Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP architect and project manager to support our SAP transformation, delivering new and existing capabilities and to ensure the smooth operation and sustainability of these systems for years to come.

MBDA’s Digital Solutions (DS) team focuses on delivering IT solutions that support the business in a variety of domains, and this role falls within that area. The role will concentrate on the local deployment of the new S/4HANA systems and post‑go‑live operations and maintenance, and will also support the structured handover and manage any additional tasks related to the existing ECC6 environments.

Responsibilities

  • Proven expertise in SAP architecture design and implementation.
  • Deep knowledge of integration frameworks.
  • Run production systems, monitor and support an SAP transformation project.
  • Perform SAP Release Management for the new systems in the UK network based on the core model designed at group level.
  • Govern technical standards, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, bridging business and IT with clear communication and strategic vision.
  • Support vendor and partner collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • SAP Architect experience, including production system operation and support.
  • Experience in SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA transformation using Greenfield methodology.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA implementation and post‑go‑live operations.
  • Experience with vendor/partner collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to maintain technical standards, scalability, security and compliance.
  • British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship (required for security clearance).

Working Conditions

  • Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1‑2 days per week on site; depending on the phase of the project, more days on site may be required.
  • Security Clearance: British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. Successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
  • Salary: £71,955 per year (estimated).
