Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Service and Repair Engineer to join Camden’s in‑house team.

You’ll carry out essential servicing, diagnostics, and repair work across our social housing portfolio, ensuring heating, hot water, and gas systems remain safe, compliant, and fully functional.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out annual safety checks and servicing in line with legislation.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in boilers, pipework, heating controls, and renewable technologies.
  • Complete emergency and routine maintenance tasks quickly and safely.
  • Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing, and compliance certificates.
  • Escalate gas safety risks or safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Support Camden’s energy efficiency and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in domestic heating servicing and maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for heating systems.
  • Good understanding of gas safety legislation and landlord compliance.
  • Excellent communication and record‑keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver high‑quality results.

ACS qualifications including:

  • CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas Safety)
  • CENWAT (Boilers & Water Heaters)
  • CKR1 (Cookers)
  • HTR1 (Gas Fires)
  • CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis)

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in social housing.
  • Training with boiler manufacturers or renewable technologies (e.g., air source heat pumps).
  • Experience supporting vulnerable residents.
  • Confidence using digital job reporting tools.
