Responsibilities
- Planned, reactive and proactive maintenance including fault finding, calibration, testing, investigation and programming on a variety of equipment sets such as telemetry, analysers, dosing equipment, control systems (networks, MCC/LVA components, PID controllers) and instrumentation (flowmeters, level transmitters, pressure transducers, temperature probes).
- Implement process improvements.
- Diagnose control system faults on PLC control systems (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and other package plant PLCs), perform HMI & SCADA system backups and modifications.
- Set up and maintain site control networks.
- Undertake planned maintenance and/or calibrate instrumentation.
- Respond to faults and alarms.
- Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a time-served apprenticeship (or equivalent).
- Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
- Live within 45 minutes of our sites.
- ONC or HNC in Instrumentation, Electronics or Control is desirable.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in process‑oriented industries such as water, petrochemical or manufacturing.
