We are looking to appoint several entry-level fire & Security Maintenance Engineers within Mitie Fire & Security throughout various locations across the UK.

No experience is necessary as our in‑house Training Academy will give you the skills you need to work in our exciting business and kick‑start your new career.

The Role

You will be trained to service a wide variety of fire and security systems, all located within a compact geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilising Mitie’s very own first‑class academy
  • Shadow experienced engineers to gain hands‑on experience and technical knowledge
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of systems to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service on site visits

What we are looking for

These are entry‑level roles within the business; therefore, we are not looking for candidates who are already experienced in these disciplines. Working in the service industry, broadband, or electrical services industry will be highly advantageous but not necessary.

  • Keen interest in fire and security systems
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems (beneficial but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation
  • Great attention to detail
  • Professional and presentable at all times
  • Be able to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Must be able to perform well as an individual as well as part of a team
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Full driving licence – mandatory
