Manufacturing Engineer – Skelmersdale

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a permanent basis.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer.

Shifts

  • Monday to Friday
  • 39 hours per week
  • Flexible working hours between 08:00 – 16:30

Salary

  • Up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Manufacturing Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Researching, justifying, and implementing capital expenditure projects to improve the utilisation of working capital
  • Supporting your line manager by providing technical expertise and developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and process controls
  • Applying knowledge of composites, polymers, engineering problem-solving, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing performanceSupporting production and maintenance teams with daily plant troubleshooting and breakdown investigations
  • Evaluating rework and reject levels to identify opportunities for design, process, and training improvements
  • Driving process and product improvements to reduce production costs, improve cycle times, and enhance product quality
