Maintenance Craft Worker – Effluent Process Plant

Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Craft Worker responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment associated with the Halewood Effluent Process Plant, including plant comfort cooling systems and indirect areas as required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance actions on machines and associated equipment, including all electrical, PLC, refrigeration and mechanical functions.
  • Take and analyse effluent samples, collate data, and analyse information to plan required item replacement and overhaul.
  • Overhaul machine parts wherever possible to avoid the need to buy new.
  • Identify and carry out machine improvement actions to improve performance and OEE.
  • Focus on identifying and implementing root cause fixes for breakdowns.
  • Schedule maintenance improvements and generate 5‑why analyses for continuous improvement.
  • Lead Kaizen activities to support safety, environmental, and cost‑reduction objectives.

Qualifications and Training

  • Required training: F‑Gas regulations, MEWP training, Confined Spaces training.
  • Experience in maintenance of industrial plants and comfort cooling systems is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits

  • £46,587.88 basic pay per annum, inclusive of a 35% holiday bonus.
