The Role
£34,434 – £38,220 and Essential Car User Allowance up to £963pa – pay award pending.
Responsibilities
- Investigate environmental crimes such as fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling.
- Deal robustly with offenders by way of fixed penalty notices and/or court proceedings.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of environmental legislation and prepare cases for court.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both in a group and independently.
- Strong enforcement background with a desire to improve the environmental quality of Bolton.
- Ability to cope with a demanding workload and flexible approach to working out of hours when necessary.
- Good knowledge of environmental legislation and capability to investigate complaints and take legal action where appropriate.
