About the Role

A specialist access and industrial services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in steeplejack, rope access, or specialist access services to play a key role in securing and delivering projects across industrial and commercial sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project documentation, and supporting the tendering process for specialist high-level access works.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for specialist access projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Assess labour, plant, materials, access methods, and programme requirements
• Compile quotations, pricing schedules, and supporting reports
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, site teams, and management throughout the tender process
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and commercial considerations
• Maintain tender records, estimate logs, and outcome tracking
• Support commercial and operational teams with project handovers
• Assist in developing competitive and commercially sound bid submissions

Requirements

• Previous experience within an Estimator role or relevant industry experience within steeplejack, rope access, or specialist industrial services
• Good understanding of high-level access methods and site safety requirements
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Confident client-facing approach
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
