Overview
The role provides both a practical technician function with that of Deputy Maintenance Team Manager, reporting to the Maintenance Team Manager.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead role with no immediate supervision for all reactive and planned preventive maintenance and project work within the Department of Engineering Science in the Maintenance Manager’s absence.
- Supervise technical personnel and contractors to ensure a safe, efficient, productive work environment.
Qualifications
You should hold a relevant formal qualification, such as HNC, BTEC, NVQ level three, City and Guilds award (for example 2391-52) or equivalent in an appropriate mechanical or electrical discipline.
