Up to £73,360 p/a DOE, Permanent position, Rotherham, Monday – Friday days only, early Friday finish, 30 days holiday, monthly bonus, state of the art environment
This is a senior technical leadership role within a prestige manufacturing environment. You will lead a close‑knit team and be responsible for the operational management of all NDT activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee NDT activities including Radiographic Testing, Dye/Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, and Visual Inspection.
- Develop, approve, and maintain NDT procedures, techniques, and operating standards.
- Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians and support their career development.
- Review and approve inspection results, certifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate audits, subcontract NDT activities, and external inspection services.
- Manage staffing, overtime planning, and daily activities of NDT technicians and apprentices.
- Oversee production planning within the NDT department and ensure work is routed according to process requirements.
- Maintain departmental efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Level 3 in Radiography (essential)
- Extensive experience in NDT management and inspection
- Strong knowledge of NDT techniques
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
