Overview

QED Legal is partnering with a highly respected Scottish law firm to fill an Employment Solicitor role in its Glasgow office. The position is ideal for a lawyer with two to five years of post‑qualification experience who wants to deepen expertise, work with an exceptional client base, and build a long‑term career in employment law.

Responsibilities

The role involves advising employers on a broad mix of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters. You will handle workplace disputes, disciplinary and grievance issues, restructuring and redundancy exercises, TUPE, Employment Tribunal litigation, drafting contracts and policies, and deliver practical, commercial advice that clients genuinely value. The variety of work ensures no two weeks look the same, providing the opportunity to become a well‑rounded employment lawyer.

Client Exposure

You will receive significant client exposure from the outset, working closely with businesses across a range of sectors while gradually taking increasing responsibility for your own matters. The firm trusts its lawyers, encourages initiative, and provides support needed for continued progression.
