The Road Safety Team is recruiting a part‑time / term‑time only Road Safety Project Officer on an annual contract basis, subject to external funding. The role requires 29 hours and 36 minutes of work per week, with two days worked from Llys Cadwyn office in Pontypridd and the remainder from home and site based.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver road safety education, training and publicity initiatives in schools and to target groups of the public.
- Support the Road Safety Manager and Senior Road Safety Officer in planning and implementing road safety projects.
- Transport equipment, including bicycles, throughout the County Borough using a pool vehicle.
- Work in a range of environments including on‑street sites, schools and colleges.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience of delivering education and training initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to use relevant ICT equipment.
- Performed in a role that requires safeguarding responsibilities.
