Project Manager – Integrated Delivery Services

Working hours: Full time 37 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements including part‑time will be considered.

Permanent.

Salary: from £52,870 to £62,200 per year (depending on experience).

Location: hybrid working with an office location at Washington, Tyne and Wear as well as sites and offices across the North East.

Role Overview

Are you an experienced Project Manager seeking a new opportunity? We have exciting opportunities for Project Managers to join our Integrated Delivery Services team, working on short‑cycle projects across our water assets, ensuring they meet regulatory timelines, deliver business benefits, and provide customer value.

As Project Manager you will lead projects ranging from £500,000 to £20 million, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget and to agreed quality expectations.

You will use strong communication and influencing skills to engage with stakeholders, and you will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to achieve business outcomes and customer value.

Innovation is at the heart of the organisation; you will drive efficiencies and continuous improvement through leveraging industry best practices.

Key responsibilities include managing project governance, benefits tracking, proactive risk management, and change controls in line with investment procedures.

About You

We are looking for pro‑active Project Managers who can oversee projects from inception to completion and handover. You should be organised, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams while building credibility with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience in an engineering, construction, utilities, oil & gas, rail & transport, environmental or critical infrastructure environment is required, with the ability to bring fresh perspectives.

Awareness of health and safety is essential. You will ensure safety, quality and environmental outcomes through compliance with company standards, legislation and Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.

Proof of expertise in contract management, procurement and the application of appropriate engineering contracts, including CDM regulations, is required.

Commitment to holding an industry‑recognised project‑management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 is expected.

Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.
