Job Role of the Operations Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a fast-paced, high-volume industrial site. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for site performance, including production, engineering, and compliance.
You will drive efficiency, quality, and output while holding P&L accountability and leading cross-functional teams. The role also includes ownership of health & safety, regulatory compliance, audits, and engineering strategy, including PPM and asset reliability.
Acting as second-in-command, you will deputise for the General Manager when required, ensuring continuity of leadership across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Operations Manager
Proven experience in a operations or production management role within a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, including production and engineering.
Requirements for the Site Operations Manager
- Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility
- Strong understanding of production efficiency, output, and quality management
- Experience overseeing engineering maintenance strategies, including PPM
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and regulatory compliance within an industrial setting
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Strong people management and disciplinary experience
- Supplier and contractor management experience
Desirable Requirements for the Operations Manager
- Experience within high-volume processing or continuous operation environments
- Knowledge of ISO management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Familiarity with lifting operations and pressure systems regulations
- Experience managing critical plant or utilities equipment
