Starting Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Location: Rugby (relocating to Coventry in June 2027)
Working Hours: 1:30 pm – 10 pm, 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday cover
Note: Trucks, Technology and Industrial will be relocating from Rugby to Coventry. Candidates should be happy to commute to both sites during the transition period.
Overview
We are building a state‑of‑the‑art facility in Coventry, supporting Volvo Group brands including Volvo Penta, Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Bus. You will support a wide range of parts and lead a team of 20 warehouse operatives to manage day‑to‑day warehouse operations and assist in automation initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, VPS methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team, monitoring operational performance throughout the shift
- Analyse operational data and KPI performance to spot trends, remove waste, and drive warehouse process improvements
- Manage team schedules, including holidays and absences, to maintain business continuity
- Present improvement initiatives, operational achievements and performance updates to the leadership team
- Manage stock and ensure orders are processed, quality checked and fulfilled on time
- Drive digital transformation by encouraging effective use of Warehouse Management Systems, automation, and reporting tools
- Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and warehouse operating procedures, completing daily checks and reporting any defects
Qualifications
- Strong people‑management experience with coaching, performance management, employee engagement and talent development
- Demonstrated strong performance in meeting operational targets and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Forklift licenses (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, High‑Level Order Picker, or similar) with safe operating experience (desirable)
- Experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners, accurately recording and retrieving data
- Excellent communicator across all levels of the business, including internal and external stakeholders
- A data‑driven mindset with advanced Microsoft Office skills and Power BI knowledge would be advantageous
- Self‑starter who takes initiative and seeks opportunities to improve the day‑to‑day and develop the team
- Fluent in English with a valid UK driver’s licence

Additional Information
Will work alongside other Warehouse Team Leaders and report to the Logistics Operations Manager; cross‑functional collaboration to deliver operational excellence.
