Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a hands‑on Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer with proven manufacturing experience. The role will focus on reactive mechanical maintenance with an element of pre‑planned electrical maintenance and support approximately 30 production units (extruders, printers & converters) at our Northampton site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant machinery to minimise production downtime.
• Electrical fault‑finding, PPMs, and reactive maintenance of building services and equipment.
• Inspection and maintenance of emergency lighting, emergency lamps and AHU PPMs.
• Basic plumbing and fire alarm testing.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and provide technical support on projects, installations and breakdowns.
• Work as part of a maintenance team to deliver high quality service to the plant/site.
• Support other duties around the site as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of multi‑skilled maintenance engineering experience.
• Mechanical experience with electrical certification or relevant training is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong ability to understand and work with technical drawings.
