Role Overview

Management responsibility for the delivery of cleaning services and associated tasks, delivered through direct labour and/or supply chain. Understand key business drivers, actively develop and implement solutions to enhance service delivery and align operational strategies to balance customer and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • People: Provide leadership and management of the Cleaning Team, ensuring a culture of high employee engagement and participation aligned with EUK objectives. Ensure compliance with EUK policies on recruitment, rotas, performance, absence, payroll, training, development and appraisals. Facilitate regular staff meetings and two‑way feedback on service delivery, budgets, resources, health and safety, and payroll.
  • Supply Chain: Manage and monitor subcontractors for cleaning and associated services, develop service specifications, SLAs and KPIs, review RAMS and approve site access per company procedures.
  • Finance/Commercial: Be financially accountable, prepare, monitor and manage the budget in line with contracts and agreed limits.
  • Customer: Facilitate client meetings to review and report on cleaning services, produce minutes and audit notes, attend client briefs, and build stakeholder advocacy through partnership.
  • Performance: Collate data, produce monthly KPI/SLA reports, participate in audit programmes and inspections, own remedial action and analyse business performance to drive operational improvements.
  • Innovation: Develop cleaning innovation ideas to enhance and adapt the working environment.
  • Service Delivery: Develop and maintain procedures and systems for comprehensive service delivery, record and manage cleaning machinery and equipment maintenance.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure appropriate governance so all employees work safely, maintain statutory, health, safety and environmental licences, certificates and documentation. Manage training records, deliver Health & Safety team talks, record COSHH materials, ensure PPE availability and conduct regular audit checks.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisor or management experience in cleaning services.
  • People/Team management experience.
  • Customer/Client Relationship Management experience.
  • Financial/Stock management experience.
  • IT literate.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Health and Safety Management qualification.
  • Any cleaning industry qualification.
