As part of our Mission Systems business, you’ll join a team supporting vital defence and engineering programmes that help protect national security.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your inventory, supply chain and stakeholder management expertise in a role where your work directly contributes to operational readiness, customer satisfaction and business performance.
Working hours and travel
The role is full‑time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. Some travel to other sites will be required.
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the integrity of inventory data and inventory management systems.
- Monitoring and reporting performance against key internal and customer service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Co‑ordinating the end‑to‑end spares and repairs supply chain process, engaging stakeholders throughout.
- Supporting demand and supply planning by providing inventory insight, analysis and recommendations.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and overseeing stock movements between internal locations.
Essential experience
- Experience delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced operational environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience managing competing priorities with strong time and workload management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Desirable: IT systems including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Desirable: ERP systems – IFS & SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
- MoD SCM Skills Certificate – Level1.
- Knowledge and experience of MoD systems (BIWMS, CRISP, SS3, JAMES) and processes (DLF).
- Ability to run presentations in front of a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders of the company and customer.
Security clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
