Business Continuity and Resilience Officer

£36,701 – £38,738 per annum
City College Norwich is one of the largest Further Education colleges in the country. Through its size and diverse activities, it needs to have robust and effective business continuity management in place. This is why we are seeking an experienced and proactive business continuity and resilience specialist to take the work we have done so far and bring it to the next level.
Working with the Health and Safety Manager, senior college leadership team and department heads, you will lead on the development, evaluation and testing of our business continuity and emergency and resilience planning, helping to create effective Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and other associated materials.
You will have relevant Business Continuity qualifications and will bring experience in:
– Emergency and business continuity planning, risk management and incident response.
– Stakeholder engagement
– Making continuous improvements and maximising efficiency
– Clear and effective communication
The role will primarily be based at our Ipswich Road site in Norwich but will require occasional travel to our other local campuses. Your skill set will also provide some ad-hoc support to the Heath and Safety team.

As a college we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
