Vacancy:  Caretaker

Salary Scale D5 –D6 £25,583 to £25, 989 (Pro rata actual £13,829 to £14,049)

All year round, permanent, 20 hours per week.

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and conscientious caretaker to join our estates team at St Clements Academy. 

 

Duties include carrying out basic maintenance, building repairs and keeping the school and grounds clean, safe and tidy.  We welcome applicants with experience of working within a caretaker or maintenance role ideally within a school environment.  It is essential that applicants have good administrative, communication and ICT skills along with a good understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance as it applies to school premises such as Health & Safety, COSHH, asbestos and legionella.

 Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to be approachable, professional, flexible and reliable.

Broad Horizons Education Trust is a multi-academy Trust comprising of 18 schools across Norfolk, which educate 7,500 children and young people and employ nearly 1200 people.

 

The hours for this post will be 20 hours per week, all year round Monday to Friday 2.15pm to 6.15pm Flexibility is essential to cover absence.
