As Media Measurement Lead, you will be Sky’s seniortechnical owner for media measurement standards, responsible forbuilding and embedding a unified measurement framework across ATL,digital, testing, econometrics and campaignreporting.

You will define the KPIs, methodologyprinciples, evidential standards and confidence thresholds thatdetermine how media performance is assessed, ensuring differentevidence sources are interpreted consistently and used for theright decisions.

A core part of the role isdesigning and delivering robust strategic geo-tests and otherincrementality experiments that provide credible evidence on whatdrives growth. You will lead the technical design of these testsend-to-end, from feasibility, market selection, power and KPIdefinition through to evaluation, interpretation andrecommendation.

Reporting into the Head of MediaEffectiveness, you will work closely with Econometrics, DigitalMarketing, Media Planning, Media Strategy, Test & Learn andPublicis to connect measurement approaches into one practicalframework for investment decision-making. This is a highlytechnical leadership role: the successful candidate will combineadvanced statistical thinking, hands-on data capability and strongcommercial judgement to protect the integrity of evidence whileenabling confident media investmentdecisions.

Whatyou’ll do

  • Own Sky’send-to-end media measurement framework, defining KPI standards,methodological principles, evidential standards and the measurementapproaches used to evaluate media investment across ATL anddigital.
  • Act as Sky’s senior technicalmeasurement authority, providing expert guidance on measurementdesign, KPI selection, campaign evaluation and interpretation ofresults.
  • Lead the design and delivery ofrobust incrementality testing programmes, including strategicgeo-tests and matched market experiments, ensuring outputs arestatistically sound, commercially relevant anddecision-ready.
  • Support the evolution of Sky’sdigital measurement approach, working with Digital Marketing teamsto ensure platform, attribution and incrementality signals are usedappropriately and consistently to optimise campaigns and evaluateoutcomes.
  • Create a unified approach tointerpreting evidence, integrating econometrics, testing, digitalmeasurement, platform lift studies and campaign reporting into acoherent measurement framework.
  • Build anddevelop market-leading measurement capability, leading a team oftechnical specialists and embedding measurement best practiceacross Media, Digital, Econometrics and agencypartners.

EssentialCriteria

  • Deep expertise inexperimental design, causal measurement and statistical analysis,with experience designing and evaluating large-scale media tests(including feasibility, power analysis, KPI definition andconfidence assessment), ideally including geo-testing or matchedmarket experiments.
  • Strong understanding ofmedia measurement across ATL and digital, including the strengths,limitations and appropriate application of econometrics, testing,attribution, platform measurement and campaignreporting.
  • Proven experience developingmeasurement frameworks, standards or methodologies, with theability to define consistent approaches to evaluating mediaeffectiveness across multiple channels and evidencesources.
  • Strong technical capability,including managing complex SQL queries across multiple data sourcesand using Python (or equivalent) to analyse, automate and interpretmeasurement outputs.
  • Proven ability totranslate complex measurement, testing and modelling outputs intoclear, commercially actionable recommendations, with confidenceinfluencing senior stakeholders and challenging interpretationwhere appropriate.
  • Experience leading anddeveloping analysts or technical specialists, building capabilityin measurement, statistical thinking and evidence-baseddecision-making.

Desirableskills and experience

  • Experience working with econometric modelling / MMMoutputs and integrating experimental findings into broadereffectiveness frameworks.
  • Experience designingmeasurement approaches for digital marketing, includingattribution, platform measurement, incrementality and campaignoptimisation
  • Experience assessing andchallenging third-party measurement methodologies, includingagency, platform or measurement partner approaches.
  • Experience applying advanced measurement techniques tostrategic business questions, such as channel effectiveness, budgetallocation, audience strategy or creativeeffectiveness.
