A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Commercial Body / Coach Builder to join a busy, diverse workshop team. We specialise in building and repairing commercial vehicle bodies, along with services including metal fabrication, accident repairs, paintwork, vehicle electrics, and more. Youll enjoy a varied working environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Building, repairing, and modifying commercial vehicle bodies
Metal fabrication and welding
Preparing vehicles for painting and repairing minor dents/scratches
Using various tools, machinery, and materials (steel, aluminium, plastic composites, GRP, wood)
Completing job paperwork, time records, and adhering to Health & Safety regulations
Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years experience in body/coach building or commercial paint preparation
Knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, CNC plasma cutting, vehicle electrics, and paint/repair techniques
Ability to read technical drawings and work to build time frames
Team player with strong verbal communication and numeracy skills
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)
Additional skills in painting or hydraulic systems are a plus
