Permanent Technical Fabrication Trainer required for Lisburn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in aluminium or PVC fabrication who enjoys sharing technical knowledge and supporting customers.

The Role

As Technical Fabrication Trainer, you will play a key role in supporting a network of fabricators by delivering technical training and providing day-to-day fabrication support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering fabrication training to customers and fabricators across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Providing technical support by responding to fabrication enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Assisting with product testing and validation activities.
  • Producing fabrication samples for customer demonstrations, architects, and project requirements.
  • Supporting research and development by evaluating new systems, punch tooling, and ironmongery.
  • Using Logikal software to support fabrication processes (training provided if required).
  • Working closely with the Technical and R&D teams to continuously improve products and fabrication methods.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ fabrication experience within the aluminium architectural glazing industry.
  • Logikal software experience would be advantageous
  • Candidates with a strong PVC window fabrication background will also be considered.
  • Good technical knowledge of window, door, and/or curtain wall fabrication.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support others.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

Hours of Work: (1 in 2 Fridays off)

  • Week 1: Monday Thursday 8.00 am. 5.00 pm & Friday 8.00 am. 4.00 pm.
  • Week 2:Monday Thursday 8.00 am. 5.00 pm (4 Days)

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience
