Head of Data Architecture & Engineering – SettleParadigm

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines and lakehouse solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards across the organisation.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust data models.
• Mentor and grow a high‑performing data engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation in data tooling, automation, and cost optimisation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, with a proven track record in large‑scale cloud deployments.
• Deep expertise in AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation) and ETL/ELT tooling.
• Strong command of SQL, Python, and modern data modelling techniques.
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
