Advanced Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery Internship
Fitzpatrick Referrals, Halfway Lane, Eashing, Godalming, Surrey GU7 2QQ, GB is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon for a fixed one‑year internship beginning in summer or autumn 2026. The role is based in our world‑renowned orthopaedic and neurosurgery referral centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day‑to‑day management of advanced orthopaedic and neuro cases, including a mix of routine and complex procedures, some unique to our hospital.
- Work under the supervision of Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and other senior surgeons.
- Participate in weekly seminars, journal clubs, and support the preparation and publication of scientific research.
- Provide world‑class in‑patient care and communicate regularly with client families.
- Contribute to a fair rota that balances clinical practice, study, and research.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom (or eligibility to obtain it).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Previous experience in small animal practice or an internship is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary of £42,240 for the year, along with RCVS registration, VDS membership, funded CPD, pension scheme, employee assistance programme and off‑site shared accommodation.
