About the role
Location: Paignton, Devon – a stunning seaside hotspot with beautiful beaches, a lively pier, and incredible coastal views just minutes away.
Client personality: A sociable joker who loves forming connections and making the most of life.
Driving perks: Help the client get out and about to enjoy his favourite activities. Driving is straightforward with easy parking and accessible destinations nearby. Preference will be given to carers who are confident drivers with a clean driver’s licence.
Daily support: Assist with personal care, mobility needs, meal preparation, and daily living activities in the client’s beautifully adapted home, empowering his independence while providing friendly and reliable support.
Rota & Pay
Rota: 3 weeks live‑in, followed by 3 weeks off. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be part of the Standby rota and work conveniently from home.
Pay rate: £140.47 per day.
Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance for each placement.
Food allowance: Competitive food allowance per day.
Live‑In Care Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
- Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
- Observe and record the client’s health status, and ensure safety and well‑being.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.
Training & Support
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You will receive full training before you start, and time will be given to become familiar with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.

Responsibilities
- Observe and record the client’s health status.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
- Ensure client safety.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Notify client of changes in medications.
- Arrange transportation for client appointments.
