Educational Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
Practical Experience
Practical experience in a childcare setting is essential. This can often be obtained during the course of study through placements in nurseries or childcare centres.
Skills and Competencies
- Child Development Knowledge – Understanding stages of child development and the ability to support and promote this through activities and care.
- Health and Safety Awareness – Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to childcare settings, including safeguarding children.
