Lubrication Technician

Overview

We are currently seeking a Lubrication Operative to join our team at Dowlow, Derbyshire. The successful candidate will report to the Mechanical Manager and will ensure all required lubrication is carried out as per the schedule, focusing on maintaining the availability and reliability of the plant at the lowest level of maintenance costs. This role covers all rotating equipment on the processing plant and the mobile plant fleet.

Responsibilities

• Oil changes and sampling
• Checking and filling lubricant and hydraulic tanks
• Stock monitoring
• Filter changes and lubrication system maintenance
• Breather maintenance and replacement
• Lubrication system top‑up and maintenance, including oil analysis
• Keeping the lubrication schedule up to date
• Communicating any potential new miss/hazards within the work area to the Company’s Health & Safety Department and Line Management
• Completing ad‑hoc duties, tasks and projects as required

Qualifications

• Experienced lubrication technician with an industrial background
• Mechanical trade qualified or technically minded and interested in a ‘hands‑on’ role
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, using analysis, judgement, and initiative to resolve issues safely, on time and cost‑effectively
• Demonstrated safe working practice and strong organisational and communication skills
• Availability to undertake emergency repairs where and when required
