We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS Eating Disorders Team. This is a maternity cover post.
The team provides specialist assessment and treatment for young people up to 18 with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder and ARFID, alongside comorbid difficulties such as low mood, anxiety and neurodiversity. We are a diverse multidisciplinary team with strong nursing, psychology, psychiatry, dietetic, family therapy and OT input. You will receive a robust induction, inhouse training and ongoing development opportunities, with regular joint working and a collaborative, systemic approach.
You will also be part of the wider CAMHS OT group with strong peer support and supervision. Ideally, you will be a qualified OT with HCPC registration and experience in community mental health and working with young people. Experience with eating disorders or neurodevelopmental conditions is desirable but not essential, and we welcome applicants keen to develop specialist skills.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
This role is established within the CAMHS Eating Disorder service and provides Occupational Therapy for young peoples and their families in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Main Duties in This Role Include
- To work as a specialist clinician to utilise, develop and enhance Occupational Therapy clinical and professional skills within the Service.
- To apply the Occupational Therapy process within a Multi-Disciplinary format providing specialist assessment and treatment in clinical care pathways.
- To deliver a specialist Occupational Therapy Service to patients within a variety of settings, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments to maximise their abilities and opportunities for occupational wellbeing.
- Hold a caseload of patients who require OT specific interventions, where there are needs in the treatment of eating disorders.
- Conduct assessments of young people with eating disorders, focusing on the impact of the eating disorder on daily functioning, routines, and engagement in meaningful activities.
