Job Title: Care Assistant (Days/Nights)

Location: Shipley Manor, Steel Drive, Shipley, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (42 hours, alternate weekends)

Responsibilities

• Support residents with washing, toileting, dressing, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs, maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assist residents with limited mobility or learning difficulties using appropriate aids.
• Monitor residents who are confused or have behavioral problems.
• Assist in continence promotion.
• Provide care for residents who are dying or have a progressive illness, including last offices.
• Complete written daily records and observe care planning needs.
• Facilitate social activities, encouraging participation in hobbies and home activities.
• Respond to nurse call system, doors, and telephone, passing on messages promptly.
• Report well-being of residents under senior staff guidance.
• Perform regular checks on residents as directed.
• Welcome visitors, offering refreshments and assistance as needed.
• Prepare and maintain beds, ensuring rooms are clean and waste disposal policies are followed.
• Clean and maintain equipment used by residents or relatives, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Record participation and feedback for meaningful engagement.
