Role Overview
Childrens Therapy Services are based in the Crystal Children’s Development Centre and the band 5 role will involve working from this clinic area with a variety of professionals including other AHPs and medical teams.
Responsibilities
- Work across health and social services settings combining the traditional roles of both health and social services occupational therapists as part of an integrated occupational therapy service for children, young people and their families.
- Provide assessment and interventions for children and families in Croydon, delivered across a specialist, targeted and universal level.
- Work with other health professionals and colleagues working with external agencies, within the scope of their own skills and knowledge.
- Manual car driver is mandatory for this post as it is community based.
- Provide a high quality standard of occupational therapy assessment, management, treatment and advice for a caseload of children with a wide range of developmental difficulties and/or disabilities, some of whom may have complex or multiple pathologies.
- Work as an autonomous practitioner complying with the standards set by the Health & Care Professions Council, Royal College of Occupational Therapy, Croydon Health Services and the department, thereby being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work.
