Engineering Technician – Location: Aylesford – Salary: £45,000 – Permanent.
Our client is seeking a hands‑on Engineering Technician to support maintenance, installation, commissioning and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role will play a key part in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and operates efficiently while supporting wider engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
- Fault find and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist with installation, relocation and commissioning of machinery.
- Support automation upgrades and process improvements.
- Carry out fabrication, fitting and equipment adjustments.
- Assist with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams.
- Support contractors during service and installation work.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and site performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in a hands‑on engineering or maintenance role.
- Strong fault‑finding ability (mechanical and/or electrical).
- Background in manufacturing or production environments.
- Proactive approach to safety and improvement.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
