The Role

This role will focus on high-quality welding and fabrication work across a range of thin gauge materials. You will be working from engineering drawings, carrying out self-inspection of your work and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding on thin gauge materials
  • Weld and fabricate components using mild steel and stainless steel
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
  • Carry out self-inspection and quality checks
  • Report progress and any production issues to the Team Leader
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the department

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • Experience working with thin gauge materials (approximately 0.9mm–10mm)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good communication skills and team-focused attitude
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience would be advantageous
